Exotic Fruit Trees
Joy Farm Nursery grows a large selection of Exotic fruit trees and food plants suitable for your garden or permaculture food forest. They bring delicious flavours, unique textures, and a tropical vibe. Most of our trees and plants thrive in a warm humid climate making them most suitable for tropical and subtropical areas. Our stock is mostly grown from seed orcuttings from our mother plants or trees growing on the farm.

Tamarind
Tamarindus indica

Red Cherry Guava (also known as Cattley Guava or Strawberry Guava)
Psidium cattleyanum
Red Cherry Guava is a hardy, evergreen fruit tree producing small, ruby-red fruit with a sweet, strawberry-like flavor. It’s ideal for home gardeners seeking a compact, productive tree that doubles as a beautiful landscape feature and a source of delicious fruit.
- Tree Size: Small (1.5–4m tall; ideal for pots or hedging)
- Fruit Season: Late summer to autumn (can fruit multiple times in warm climates)
- Sunlight: Full sun to part shade (best fruiting in full sun)
- Water Needs: Low to moderate — drought tolerant once established, prefers regular watering when fruiting.
Yellow Starfruit
Averrhoa carambola
Yellow Starfruit is a tropical fruit known for its striking star-shaped cross section and juicy, sweet-tart flavor. It’s a beautiful and productive addition to exotic gardens, perfect for fresh snacking, juicing, or garnishing.
